Thank goodness, they’re back!  “They” of course being David Gore and Seth Kloss, owners of the recently reopened and relocated Drew Lewis Boutique, a.k.a the shopping salvation of those craving New York City lines nearly impossible to score in Atlanta without a roundtrip ticket to JFK.

These guys made Atlanta fashionistas drool with their store’s incredible selection of wares and at their new location at the Metropolis building, they have created a gorgeous new layout.  With exposed brick, over-sized leather armchairs and black and white checkered tiles, David and Seth have made a loft-like showroom that is both masculine yet undoubtedly chic.  Buzz Entertainment Magazine sat down with David and Seth to learn a little bit more about their reopening and future with Drew Lewis.

drewlewisBuzz Entertainment MagazineHow did you both get into fashion?

Seth Kloss: David worked for HUGO BOSS International in New York City and I got into it through him.

Buzz Entertainment MagazineWhy did you choose to relocate the store?

David Gore: This area of Peachtree is amazing and there is a lot going on here right now – it’s booming!

Buzz Entertainment MagazineDoes the concept for the new store differ from that of the previous location?

DG: We still have the same style of clothing from NYC designers as at the last location, but the last store was so cookie cutter and in a slow area for an older crowd.  In the Metropolis we were given full creative control and we made an amazing 5,000 square foot store.

Buzz Entertainment MagazineWho is the ideal Drew Lewis customer?

SK: Someone who is confident, stylish and not a mall rat.

Buzz Entertainment MagazineWhat do you hope customers gain from a trip to your new store?

SK: The joy and benefits of having more unique pieces from New York designers for their wardrobe instead of mass-produced “crap” from discount retailers.

Buzz Entertainment MagazineWhen buying for upcoming seasons, what do you always keep in mind?

DG: I do follow trends, however, I don’t follow the trends that are cool for about 45 minutes.  No one benefits from having those items in his/her closet.

Buzz Entertainment MagazineIn a sea of Atlanta boutiques, what do you feel reallydrewlewis distinguishes Drew Lewis from everywhere else?

SK: We aren’t a bunch of bored housewives running a store.  We take what we do seriously and our customers appreciate it.  We carry men and women’s clothing, but we carry mostly men’s clothes which something you don’t see in Atlanta. Plus, we spent time and effort to not make the interior of our store look like a CVS, not everyone cares that much.

Buzz Entertainment MagazineAre there any special clothing items or accessories you're stocking up on for the upcoming season?

DG: We have a lot of great brands you can’t get everywhere – Jack Spade (new clothing collection), APC, Caulfield Prep, Michael Bastian for GANT, Hickey – and lots more.

Buzz Entertainment MagazineWhat are your hopes for 2010?

DG: To open our New York store!
